1349, Norwegian Black Metallers have a new album out on June 2nd called Revelations of the Black Flame, I know I am looking forward to this. Pretty sweet artwork as well:



2009 is turning out to be a bloody good year for metal, yet again.

The new album from Death Metal Gods, Suffocation, (please bow before them), is due out July 7th and is entitled Blood Oath. This will rule so mark the day on your calendar.

Sorry I had to get that out, if you like intelligent music that still kicks you arse into next week, well, Clutch are for you.

I particularly recommend The Elephant Riders, but any of their albums will do, they all are brilliant pieces of work. Neil Fallon is a vocal god, he also sings on the Mastodon song Blood and Thunder, that moment on the song makes the entire album worthwhile (and that doesn't mean I don't like the album because I love it).

Stop Ya Bloody Bitching

I wish all you negative motherfuckers would stop the bitching about the re-recording of Bonded By Blood, Let There Be Blood. In no way shape or form was Let There Be Blood intended to ever replace Bonded By Blood. It is a tribute to Paul Barloff nothing more. It is an easy concept to grasp. Anyway I think it is a great tribute to a legend of Thrash Metal.



I prefer the artwork of Let There Be Blood and everything sounds top notch. I still wonder if Bonded By Blood came out when it was meant to would Exodus of been considered more than a second rate band by the masses? Which they shouldn't be anyway, they are a true example of how Thrash should sound and in fact I think that Exodus have put out better albums than say Megadeth and Anthrax by a long shot. Oh well, that's history and you can't change it.
